The waterfront City of Marysville rests on the banks of the St. Clair River. This family-oriented town is abundant in commerce as well as recreation. Its commercial corridor fulfills the convenience of every-day needs with retail and restaurants while its dynamic city park and its picturesque setting along the river provide enjoyable pastime activities.
Marysville City Park is a popular outdoor destination for both residents and visitors. Many great summer events occur within its 58 acres, near the riverfront. The park hosts a bounteous amount of events including music concerts that fill up the outdoor amphitheater on warm summer days. Art in the Park features fine arts and crafts while Rumble in the Park showcases immaculate classic and muscle cars. Families congregate here often as it has a fantastic splash pad, picnic areas, covered pavilions, several playground romps, baseball diamonds and fitness areas.
Chrysler Beach is a refreshing place to go on a hot afternoon and the gazebo is a prime location for freighter watching. Just south of the sandy beach is 2.7 acres of living shoreline, where aquatic plants and cobble provide a habitat in which fish can spawn. A boardwalk and concrete sidewalk wind through a menagerie of plants native to Michigan. This area along the shoreline is perfect for strolling or fishing.
