Traveling with Pets

Traveling with your fur baby(ies) is a lot of fun and we want to help make your experience easier with places to go upon arrival in Michigan’s ThumbCoast. If you are traveling with pets other than dogs, we first recommend directly contacting the place you plan to go. The ThumbCoast has over 75 public parks! These parks typically allow dogs on a 6′ leash and there will be posted rules to review upon arrival or use the contact link listed for on each park for additional information.

The recognized dog friendly BEACHES are Marysville/Chrysler Beach, the north end of Lincoln Park in Harbor Beach and Port Crescent State Park shoreline with the exception of the campground beach. All locations require a leash on the beach. Click on the button below to see all the area hotels that allow pets/dogs.
