Port Huron

Gratiot Park – PlayAble accessible playground with a We-Go-Swing & We-go-Round made for a wheelchair and more. 2538 Gratiot Ave. No cost to enter.

Sprout City – Palmer Park – Accessible miniature city, recommended for ages 3 – 12 yrs. old. 2829 Armour St. No cost to enter.

Optimist Park – Accessible Playground. 1400 Whipple St. No cost to enter.

Lighthouse Beach – Access mat to the water’s edge. 2900 Conger St. There is a parking fee at this beach.

Lakeside Beach – Access mat to the water’s edge, accessible splash pad. 3670 Gratiot Ave. There is a parking fee at this beach.

Marysville

Ella’s Universally Accessible Playground is a barrier-free space located at 801 E. Huron Blvd. at the north east corner of the park near the splash pad, which is also accessible. No cost to enter the park.

Fort Gratiot

The beach wheelchair is free to use, please call ahead of time to reserve it at 810-385-3019. The playground at this location has a accessible Biggo Solo Swing. 3325 Metcalf Rd. If you are not a resident of St. Clair County there is a parking fee of $20 Fri. – Sun., Memorial – Labor Day Weekends. Mon. – Thurs. there is no cost to enter.

Goodells

The Pine River Nature Center has a universally accessible treehouse at 2585 Castor Rd., Goodells. The trail to the treehouse does not allow dogs, horses, smoking, motorized vehicles, or bikes. It’s a peaceful, well-marked trail but not snow cleared in the winter months. It is gravel-lined, ADA-width, and 0.44 miles one-way from the main building to the treehouse. The Nature Center Building has a wheelchair ramp, elevator, and an accessible bathroom. There are no fees to enter this trail or nature center.

Fishing

No Limits Fishing Adventures offers barrier-free adaptive fishing excursions in Clay Township/Algonac, about a hour north of Detroit. “These trips are for special needs children and adults, disabled Veterans, their families, or caregivers.”
