Description
This 600 acre park is located along 3 miles of shoreline on Lake Huron’s Saginaw Bay.

Activities within the park include camping, hiking, swimming, canoeing, hunting, cross country skiing, bird watching, fishing, and picnicking.  There's a kayak launch site which is part of the Tip of the Thumb Heritage Water Trail.

The campground has 142 modern campsites, 2 modern toilet/shower buildings, a camper cabin, a mini cabin, and a swim beach.

The Day Use Unit has a shelter/restroom facility, beach access, fishing along the Pinnebog River, picnic areas with grills, a Birds of Prey platform, and a universally accessible hiking trail approximately one mile long.

This area is host to white tail deer, fox, coyotes, song birds, migrating birds of prey and waterfowl. Additionally there are other hiking trails totaling nearly 3.5 miles.

Dark Sky Preserve: Port Crescent State Park has been recently designated a dark sky preserve in the Day Use Area, which marks an important milestone and provides a place for stargazers to get an unobstructed view of beautiful, naturally-dark skies.
