Wilderness Bike/Hike Trail Map

Boardwalk Marsh Loop Map

The trails are open 365 days a year, dawn to dusk. The Wilderness Arboretum is a place where plants, birds, insects, mammals, fungi – all things living or dead – are protected for scientific and educational purposes and for preservation of natural conditions.

The 280 acre Huron County Nature Center Wilderness Arboretum features many groomed walking trails, a pavilion and restrooms. In addition, there is a handicapped accessible paved trail through the beautiful wooded acres dotted by bridges and observation decks.

Enjoy a refreshing walk along one of the well kept trails in the nature sanctuary. The center offers educational programs and events throughout the year, including the annual Lady’s Slipper Festival over Memorial Day weekend, special Saturday programs in the summer, and an annual fall dinner and program in September.
