The Blue Water Audubon Society is presenting Winter Bird Blast 2022 on Saturday, February 19, at the St. Clair County Administration Building, 200 Grand River, in Port Huron, MI. from 9:00 – noon. The Winter Bird Blast is in its seventh year of introducing birders and non-birders alike to the wonderful world of winter birding. The St. Clair River from Port Huron to Algonac is the winter home to many species of waterfowl which are only found in the Artic Circle during the summer months. Come learn who these mystery birds are in an indoor session at the auditorium and then after bundling up, members of the Blue Water Audubon will lead the way to the sites along the river to see these numerous birds in person. Face masks are encouraged, warm clothes and binoculars are suggested if you have them. There will also be a grand reveal of the St. Clair – Macomb Birding Trail, set to open soon.
