Each year, thousands return to the streets of downtown Lexington to celebrate the roots, richness, and variety of American culture through music and dance. The free festival is always held on the Saturday of Labor Day and features five stages, with music from over 40 bands, and performers from the Thumb area and all around the state. Attendees can expect to hear a wide variety of musical styles, including folk, Americana, rock, country, bluegrass, jazz, Celtic, classical, and more.
Thumbfest promises a full day and evening of vibrant performances, cultural exploration, and community celebration. In addition to the stage performances, the festival will offer interactive workshops, jams, an open mic, and a drum
circle. The beautiful harbor area is home to the main stage and a marketplace featuring food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and free activities for the kids hosted by Camp Cavell. Free shuttles make it easy to get around so you won’t miss a thing!
