Harriet Tubman is one of the greatest heroines of the Civil War and is one of the best-known conductors of the Underground Railroad. This informative novel won a silver medal at the Moonbeam Awards in Traverse City in the category of “Best First Novel”. It was also a runner-up for the Eric Hoffer Grand Prize and was presented with the Eric Hoffer Montaigne Award which is given to works that are most thought-provoking.
