The Turtles Are Coming!

The First Annual Pine River Turtle Race is coming to downtown St. Clair on Sunday, August 29, 2021, which is on the last day of the St. Clair Art Fair. The location is on the Pine River, viewing the race on the boardwalk of Rotary’s Centennial Park located on Clinton Ave (across from Lacroix’s Riverside Pub).

Time: 4:00pm

Prizes include 1st Place $1,500, 2nd Place $1,000, and 3rd Place $500 cash prizes.

Or pick up an Adoption Paper at local adoption centers, including Coughlin Jewelers, Anchor Point Bistro, LaCroix’s, War Water, and Murphy Inn. More Adoption Center Locations will be announced closer to the event date.

Rotary Club of St. Clair encourages everyone not to wait until the day of the race to adopt.

Monies raised go to the “Wildlife Landing” and many charities in St. Clair County that the Rotary Club supports.

The winners do not have to present.

When you adopt a turtle, it will be assigned a number placed on the bottom of the turtle.

When the turtles cross the finish line, they will be corralled into a tube, removed and the number will be crossed checked with the database. The winners will be announced at the end of the race.
