Dare to visit the Haunted Village!

This is a family-friendly event (with the exception of the Super Spooky Trail), and costumes are encouraged!
At any other time of the year, the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum is generally a quiet place where the atmosphere is rich with history. In October however, history comes back to haunt the inhabitants!
On the evenings of October 14th and 21st, spirits of the past lurk the grounds and historical buildings at our Haunted Village event. Dare to visit our creepy, creaky old buildings, where each offers a different nightmare (and yummy Halloween treats)!
Two spooky nature trails:
FAMILY FRIENDLY SPOOKY TRAIL - Perfect for the littles, with just a bit of a fun scare!
SUPER SPOOKY TRAIL - There are no holds barred on this trail and we guarantee the hair will stand up on the back of your neck as you walk (or run?) this trail.
Check out the Creepy Baby Doll Contest in our spooky train depot. Bring a dollar bill to place your vote for the creepiest baby in all the land!
Come warm up around the bonfire and sample goodies at the food BOOOOth. Roast s'mores over one of our bonfires and enjoy a cup of hot cider or hot chocolate after getting the chills from walking the Haunted Village.
Bring the kids in costume to trick-or-treat at our super spooky event. Be sure to bring a bag to collect all the loot! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is just $5 cash per person at the gate.
