Picasso’s expansive career is resurrected through the lively stage presentation of “Picasso Becomes You,” a theatrical performance. It is preceded by special ‘live art’ exhibits created by St. Clair County artists. This unique presentation of Picasso’s work explores the ideas behind what makes art relevant or beautiful. Though the stage play is centered on Picasso’s cubist work, art exhibits on display in the lobbies and other areas will depict a variety of styles and span eight decades of Picasso’s career.
Also features artwork from the Saginaw Art Museum (Saginaw, Michigan) including works from Calder, Dali, Indiana, Lichtenstein and others. Highlighted will be local pieces created by Marshall Fredericks and Alden Dow, two of Michigan’s most prominent artists.
“Picasso Becomes You” is a fundraiser for — and sponsored by — Studio 1219 of Port Huron, Michigan. Reservations can be made by contacting the Studio now.
