Pure Michigan Bayview Mackinac Race
This sailing tradition is the largest fresh-water sporting event in the world and has grown into Port Huron's very own Mardi Gras celebration.
Sailboats begin gathering in the harbor in the days prior to the race and the welcoming festivities begin!
Activities scatter across the riverbank including great food and music!
The whole family will delight in games, contests and nearby carnival!
When the sun goes down the music goes up! Enjoy concerts, stage acts and a hoppin' beer tent, all underneath the glow of the harbor. And while you're on the docks, mingle with the racers and hear engaging stories of previous champions and daring close calls.
Spectators can view the start of the race from the shore at Lakeside Park.
