Algonac Marine City Port Huron Lexington St. Clair Port Sanilac Harbor Beach Port Austin Clay

Historically, Marine City was known as a ship building center of the Great Lakes. Because of this status, many captains and sailors made their homes here, as evidenced by the grand residential architecture throughout the historic downtown area. Gracious Victorian “Painted Ladies” still sit side by side with turn of the century cottages.

Today, five waterfront parks are interspersed between unique shopping and dining venues along the historic waterfront and boardwalk. Visitors enjoy the public swimming beach, fishing, boating and amphitheater on the river . Marine City is also a portal to Canada, with a car/pedestrian ferry to Sombra, Ontario.

For some folks recreation means going antiquing, Marine City has two antique malls and six antique stores and has become a destination City for collectors.
